Playa Marie Pampoen

Marie Pompoen beach, also called playa Marie Pampoen, is not the place to bake in the sun and take a dip in the sea every now and then. This is a place where swimming lessons are given to the children. Marie Pompoen is a small, local fishing beach near the Mambo Beach Boulevard. On the beach you have two local restaurants and there is a lot of fishing. Nice to have a drink and experience the somewhat more 'raw' Curaçao.

It is a long stretched beach and you can take a nice walk via a kind of boulevard. You can also walk your dog here. It is not allowed to bring your dog on the beach itself.

Do you enjoy diving? Then this is an ideal spot for you! They once made an artificial reef here with old auto’s. At a depth of 60 meters you can still find wrecks of cars, how cool is that.
